About This Ship
Scenic Tsar, launched in 2013, was the first ‘new-build’ ship to be launched onto Russia’s waterways for over 25 years. It is also the first boutique ‘small’ ship to join our ever-growing fleet of luxury vessels. There are just over one hundred guests on board, so you get a real sense of space, accompanied by an intimate atmosphere.

YOUR OWN BUTLER – NOW THAT’S A LUXURY
A complimentary drinks service, valet service and even a shoeshine polishing service is offered to all our guests. If you’re staying on the Sapphire Deck, your butler can arrange cocktails and serve early morning tea or coffee in your cabin. Diamond Deck guests can also enjoy a served breakfast in suite and pressing service for two items per day. Junior and Royal Suite guests can enjoy all this, plus fresh seasonal fruit skewers, petit fours and canapés before dinner. Royal Suite guests are welcomed onboard with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Your luggage is unpacked, meals served in suite, laundry services taken care of and even a scented bath run at your request.

Also dine on the top deck Alfresco while taking in the breathtaking scenery or enjoy a meal in your room, served by your butler. From refined to relaxed, al fresco to intimate, all at no extra cost.
CRYSTAL DINING RESTAURANT
The Crystal Dining Restaurant offers its own unique ambiance; bright and refreshing in the morning, relaxing in the middle of the day, intimate and warm as evening draws in. Catering for all guests to dine at a single sitting with open seating allows you to sit with friends or share a more intimate meal. It’s here you’ll start each day with a wonderful buffet breakfast and cooked-to-order hot favorites. At lunch you have a choice of a generous buffet and a beautifully prepared à la carte menu. In the evening, your Maître d’ welcomes you to enjoy a delicious meal created by our award-winning chefs.
PORTOBELLOS ITALIAN RESTAUARNT (L’Amour on France cruises)
No other river cruise ship in Europe offers a comparable dining experience like Portobellos Restaurant, which offers traditional Italian cuisine (French in France) to a select group of just thirty guests. Be welcomed with a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne and take your seat for this authentic culinary experience. Portobellos is perfectly located at the front of the ship, taking full advantage of the spectacular views. Our skilled highly acclaimed chefs will treat you to a delicious five-course menu complimented by exceptional wines, handpicked by our sommelier. As you can imagine, an evening at Portobellos is a wonderful experience that should not be missed.
TABLE LA RIVE
An opportunity available to Royal and Junior Suite guests and all guests on the Diamond Deck, this degustation menu showcases sensational seasonal produce, which are then paired skillfully with international and local wines by your sommelier. So for example, and perhaps to whet your appetite, our chefs will prepare a porcini cappuccino with blue potato chips, which is then served with Riesling. Or maybe marinated crayfish with mango and rocket, accompanied by a crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Burgenland. Each wine is carefully chosen to complement and enhance the flavors of the selected dish, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
AL FRESCO DINING ON RIVERVIEW TERRACE
The real joy of being on a cruise is that feeling of freedom. As each moment brings with it new landmarks or breathtaking vistas, the Riverview Terrace affords a wonderful vantage point. On selected days, and if the weather permits, we transform the terrace into an outdoor restaurant where you can enjoy a cool drink and sizzling gourmet barbecue. At other times of the day, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or an ice cream and savor the view. The time honored tradition of high tea is another exclusive highlight for our guests – be tempted by cream tea, sweet petit fours, finger sandwiches, and an inordinate selection of fine loose leaf teas.
RIVER CAFE AND GELATA BAR
Open between breakfast and dinner, River Café offers delicious sandwiches with, for example; parma ham, citterio salami, roast beef or cheese. You can even ask the River Café to pack a lunch for you to enjoy on shore. There’s also the perennial favorite, freshly prepared fish and chips. If you prefer something sweet, there’s a superb selection of tartlets, croissants, cakes, strudels and chocolates as well as a choice of refreshing, delicious ice creams from our Gelata Bar. New in 2014 was the addition of custom-built pizza ovens. Enjoy your pizza in the relaxing surroundings of the Café, or order ‘to go’ and enjoy it on your balcony with a glass of wine.

Our Panorama Lounge is larger than any you’ll find on ordinary river cruise ships, and there is plenty of space to relax at the bar while taking in the breathtaking views. It’s here in the Panorama Bar and Lounge where you will enjoy a glass of champagne when you first board the ship. During your cruise, choose from a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, cocktails and spirits, and help yourself to teas and coffee, all at no extra cost. It’s worth noting that we store our wines in special EuroCave storage cabinets to ensure that your wine is matured and served at the perfect temperature.

The Crystal Dining Restaurant offers its own unique ambiance; bright and refreshing in the morning, relaxing in the middle of the day, intimate and warm as evening draws in. Enjoy a glass of Moët & Chandon, which is served for a Champagne breakfast, a perfect way to toast the day ahead. A generous selection of complimentary beverages that include six red and six white premium regional wines handpicked by our sommelier, as well as beer, spirits, soft drinks and bottled mineral water, are available to accompany every meal.

With fine wine being a way of life in Italy, your Portobellos experience will be accompanied by exceptional Tuscan wines, handpicked by our sommelier on his visit to the region’s bestboutique wineries including Fattoria Casabianca, an estate just 30 kilometres from Siena and renowned for Chianti, crafted predominantly from the Sangiovese grape.
