Onboard Experience

Embark on a ship built with Galápagos Island cruising in mind! From your first briefing, boat drill and launch… to the excitement of your first wet landing… the Silver Origin provides all that is needed for you to explore these islands that time forgot in total comfort. Board your ship in the afternoon for a safety briefing followed by lunch before circumnavigating the island of Daphne… ripe with a variety of one-of-a-kind bird species. Your first night aboard ship begins with an official Captain's welcome cocktail reception and briefing followed by an a la carte dinner. Meet and mingle with fellow guests as you enjoy creative international and Ecuadorian dishes. Retire to your comfortable and contemporarily designed stateroom as you fall asleep dreaming of all that lies ahead this week. When you awake in the morning, you'll enjoy a hearty breakfast to fuel you for the day and get fitted for snorkeling equipment before heading out for a morning walk and exploration. Following lunch on board your ship, you will spend the afternoon kayaking or snorkeling… your choice… as you observe wildlife up close. Once back onboard the ship at days' end, a recap and briefing will take place with onboard naturalists who will discuss wildlife encounters and observations. Enjoy dinner in The Grill as you cook your food to taste directly at your table in the open-air or enjoy the continental and regional specialties of The Restaurant. Later that evening, retire to your cabin for a luxurious and rejuvenating nights sleep… resting up for the daily adventures that lie ahead.

Welcome aboard Silver Origin

Introducing Basecamp
Helping to bridge the gap between ship and destination…
Specifically designed for Silver Origin, Silversea introduces Basecamp, an innovative learning center built to bridge the gap between Silver Origin and the Galápagos Islands. Connected to the Marina on Deck 1, Basecamp features a large interactive digital wall which guests can use to access a variety of information about the Galapagos islands. including videos, pictures and scientific information on wildlife, geology and history of the archipelago.

Observation Lounge
View the passing seascape from a cozy seat through floor-to-ceiling windows…
A hidden hideaway found on the very front of the ship on Deck 7, the Observation Lounge is one of the coziest areas on all of Silver Origin — and complimented with incredible, unobstructed views of the ocean and the archipelago. Ideal for relaxing, curling up with a good book you brought (or picked from the carefully selected library) or just swapping stories with fellow passengers about the days adventures, the Observation Lounge is your portal to relaxation and tranquility.

Dining aboard Silver Origin
Dine inside or out
Aboard Silver Origin, you have a choice of two dining venues; The Restaurant and The Grill, each offering delicious delights with accompanying views of the water. The Restaurant utilizes fresh, local ingredients for the many dishes they create. Here you can find cuisine inspired by Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands, as well as a variety of international dishes. If you're looking to wine and dine in the great outdoors, The Grill is the perfect option for you – at dinner, it offers Silversea's signature "Hot Rock" concept where guests can cook their own fresh fish, seafood and meats on top of hot lava stones.
